In November 2015, the Relentless Number Five studio witnessed Grime history in the makingwhen acclaimed rapper, Ghetts and prolific producer, Rude Kid collaborated to write, recordand produce a progressive EP in just five days.
The six-track EP, which was all recorded and mixed in the Relentless Number Five Studio onDenmark Street, showcases Rude Kid’s experimental production skills against Ghetts’energetic yet moody bars.
The title of the EP, 653 was spawned from the challenge the boys set themselves – 6 tracksrecorded in 5 days with 3 music videos. To launch the project the boys took over TheLaundry in East London’s Hackney and the EP was played in its entirety to a crowd of grime aficionados and fans alike. The music videos for Bad Boy and Who’s Got A Problem werepremiered at the event and the One Take video was also filmed live on the night.
With Kano, Frisco, Mercston, Jammer and Giggs all performing alongside the boys – it was the perfect way to launch this ambitious project.
