HomeDan 'Mole' Joel - Session at Aileens

Relentless surfer Dan Joel and tow-in partner Ben Skinner scored an amazing 40ft session at Aileens earlier this month - landing themselves in the Guardian with some of the most astounding surf photography to emerge from UK surfing. Here's what Moely had to say...
"The Aileens session that went down recently was absolutely a corker. It was a real team effort with those involved riding some of the best waves of our lives. It gives you so much confidence knowing that you have some of the best watermen in the business all out there looking out for each other if things should go wrong.
I'm really grateful to my tow-partner Ben Skinner. It was the first time we'd towed together and he was excellent. When waves reach this magnitude things can go really wrong fast. it is so important to have a highly skilled tow-partner to put uou in the right spot on the wave and come and retrive you if you take a hit. We're constantly monitoring the weather charts for the next huge swell. And when it arrives, we'll be on it.
Cheers
Mole
We look forward to seeing the next session....
