Relentless Energy Drink proudly sponsors...
Many of us have our older siblings to thank for our initiation into all things cool and credible, but not so many of us have them to thank for our entire careers. German wakeskate prodigy Tarik Ghoniem has a lot to thank his brother for, having progressed from beginner to junior world champion in just four years off the back of being introduced to the ever-growing sport by him. His positive mentality feeds into his riding effortlessly, with a focus on big moves and audacious airs at the core of his riding.

I started riding in 2006. My older brother introduced me to this incredible sport. One day, he let me use his wakeskate, so I tried it. Riding was so much fun that I started doing it constantly. My brother soon realised my potential and pushed me to the level I have today. Fortunately, I have a cable close to my home, so I started riding every day and never looked back since...
- The road to success
Never giving up, always stepping forward, but I also look back to learn from my mistakes. Fortunately, I have a sick crew around at all times, so good vibes are always taken care of!
- Career highlight to date
1st Place at Extreme Playgrounds – rocked the competition in front of a 5,000 people crowd!
- Quote that inspires me
I saw an interview of skateboarder Paul Rodriguez and he said something like: “Why am I successful? I work hard when the rest is sleeping!” That impressed me a lot!
“The World is yours!” - Tony Montana, Scarface.
- Motto I live by
It is a combination of “Le roi c’est moi!” and "Life is a combination of always stepping forward and looking back to learn from the past, to create a future, that the world has never seen before!"
- If I wasn't...
I’m really satisfied with my life and it isn’t an option for me to change anything.
