Starting out

I started skiing when I was three years old, I can't even remember starting - I've just always done it. I was a ski racer right up until I was 19 years old, pretty late to start freeskiing or freestyle but I remember the day when I did my first 360 thanks to my friend Tom O'Brien. I never thought I'd be able to do one and then a week later we were hooking backflips! I've always loved skiing, the sensation of riding powder, going fast, hitting a jump or cliff, doing a trick or just having a fun day with my friends - it can change my whole outlook on life and make me realise what's most important to me.

The road to success

The journey I've been on with skiing has given me a lot and I try to give a lot back whenever I can, to pass on what I've learnt and help other skiers in their progression whilst still continuing through my own. It can be very up and down sometimes. Injuries and confidence can really affect how I see things sometimes, but it's getting through that, that’s part of my progression - never giving up but rising to the challenge and overcoming my fears, not for success or glory but for the moment that skiing gives me each and every day I clip in to my bindings.

Career highlight to date

Definitely travelling to Kashmir, Georgia, Turkey and Chile. The cultures, people and the experience of skiing in some amazing places, whilst trying to find my own twist to add and features to hit.
