Relentless Energy Drink proudly sponsors….

If you grow up with ski resorts on your doorstep, it would be churlish not to give one of the alpine disciplines a go. Germany’s most prolific and acclaimed snowboarder Elias Elhardt moved from a nascent love of skateboarding onto the slopes, excelling in junior rookie competitions and showing huge promise, before a lung inflammation took him away from the sport for a year. But like a true No Half Measures champion, he didn’t let it stop him from getting back on his board – and he rapidly rose to the top of the pile in his homeland thereafter.

Starting out

We were a crew of skateboarders and so it was just natural that we also tried snowboarding. I grew up in Oberstaufen, a tourist village with some ski resorts around. Snowboarding was straight away so much fun that I stuck with it and never let go ever since…

The road to success

The most important engine for my career was the joy of riding itself. The fun of doing it made me always want more. This is how I progressed, and success then followed, step by step…

Career highlight to date

I was super stoked when I won the Jr. World Championships 2005 at the age of 17. Another super good moment after my first year of filming was when I realised that I got the last part in Europe’s biggest snowboard movie production “Pirates”.

Quote that inspires me

“I have a dream…” Martin Luther King

Motto I live by

Life’s all we got! Value each moment…

If I wasn't...

If I could choose any career I want, I‘d maybe choose the one of Jack Johnson. Being a surf pro for some time and straight after a musician – he’s excellent in both!
