Virtues: watch our new cinema short
Relentless heads to the silver screen to launch an inspiring new collection of films
It’s no secret that we want to tell the world about the people who inspire us and who help to build the identity that is at the core of everything Relentless stands for. Across summer 2011, we’ll be giving you insights into the minds of some truly ground-breaking athletes, performers and artists – kicking off with our stunning new Virtues cinema short.
Pure energy and commitment
"Cutting-edge post-production takes the resplendent cinematography and direction of Virtues to an even higher level of spectacle"
This visually captivating piece is set to a powerful, rousing soundtrack from UK bass heroes Chase & Status, and combines the talents of four masters of action sports, dance, martial arts and music to potent effect.
Two athletes at the top of their game feature alongside two Relentless artists in Virtues. First is Brazilian-born mixed martial arts champion Roger Gracie, a formidable powerhouse of a fighter who is a true master of his discipline. He holds the incredible multiple accolade of being a 14-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champion. His raw power is juxtaposed with the grace and beauty of street-dancer Zoe Green’s immaculate, high-energy movement, with both artists united by the ultimate control they possess over every sinew of their bodies.
Representing Relentless’ burgeoning roster of action-sports champions is BMX hero Mark Webb, a young but hugely accomplished figure whose dizzying, rapid and precise in-air motions are something truly incredible to behold. The music side of Relentless is boldly represented in Virtues by Gallows’ intensely driven guitarist Steph Carter, thrashing his way through the piece in inimitable style.
Cutting-edge post-production takes the resplendent cinematography and direction of Virtues to an even higher level of spectacle, adding a magical sheen to the raw footage of these masters at work.
