One of surfing’s most innovative competitions serves up another excellent battle
Relentless Energy Drink in Germany sponsored a very special surf contest over in Denmark’s Klitmöller recently (16 October 2011) – Norden and Vans’ Six In The Mix. This innovative and fun-focused contest is an invitational event which sees some of northern Europe’s finest surfers trying out their skills across six differently shaped boards. The winner is whoever performs the best overall. It’s a test of versatility, dexterity and concentration, but one that places enjoyment above everything else.
After winning the contest back in 2009, Israeli-born local Mor Meluka once again walked away with the title. Check out our highlights from the contest on the North Sea, where the riders stayed in motorhomes to ensure they caught the best waves at the right time.
