Insects are self-contained mechanisms
Christopher Conte has long been fascinated by insects.
The breathtaking ‘Steam II Insect’ stands 2.5” tall by 6” long and is made of cast bronze with machined brass and stainless steel. As a man spellbound by robotics and biomechanics, the six-legged bugs have long been a muse for Christopher.
“Insects have always fascinated me. These tiny little self-contained mechanisms that can walk up walls, fly, and jump 20 times their own height. They inspire me and at the same time remind me of how primitive our own technological advancements appear when compared to nature.”
