Still going strong the best part of two decades after they exploded onto the international stage, Northern Irish rockers Ash return to London on 3 December 2011 to close their Best Of tour with a very special Energy Sessions gig, sponsored by Relentless Energy Drink. The night is hosted by acclaimed music mag The Fly, and takes place in The Garage, also sponsored by Relentless Energy Drink.
The Best Of Ash comes to London
Some might have forgotten that Ash scored two number one albums and a hugely impressive 18 top 40 singles in their long career – with classics such as Girl From Mars, Goldfinger, Oh Yeah, Shining Light and the feisty theme track to the Ewan McGregor-starring film A Life Less Ordinary littering their back catalogue.
Marrying radio-friendly rock, grunge and punk flavours with strong songwriting and a tight live show, they’ve managed to endure where almost all the other bands from the era have fallen by the wayside. This is testament to their loyal fanbase and consistency, and a mightily impressive feat. This intimate show sees them celebrate the end of six long months of touring The Best Of Ash album, and you can bet the band will be in a jubilant mood.
Pscyhed-out rockers Younghusband have been confirmed as the support act.
