The UK’s biggest wake talents come together across four dates

Wakeboarding in the UK has never been in healthier state. The country’s athletes are excelling at world level and bagging medals at major competitions, while the number of new participants is growing. With this in mind, the Relentless UK Pro Wakeboard Tour returns in 2011 to unite and inspire the country’s scene and shine a light on the skills of these world-class competitors.

A cohesive approach

Wakeboarding has come far in this country, with just a handful of big one-off events and regional amateur tours fuelling its success and popularity. The Relentless UK Pro Wakeboard Tour aims to provide an ongoing and highly visible platform for the sport and its key players, with four dates in the north and south of England confirmed. From 1996 to 2005, the tour’s previous incarnation helped to bring major stars to the fore and develop their skills, including Relentless Energy Drink-sponsored athletes Sam Carne, James Young, Matt Crowhurst and Jonty Green.

Building on big successes

Cable has become the fastest-growing part of wakeboarding. GB were crowned World Cable Team champions in 2010, and also won a haul of individual gold, silver and bronze medals. Fellow UK stars did the same at the European Boat Championships, underlining the country’s position as a world leader in the sport.

With Relentless Energy Drink supporting this event since its inception, and uniting with partners including O’Neill, Kustom and Surfdome.com plus many regional hotspots, the Relentless UK Pro Wakeboard Tour is a must-see for any wake fan. Check the dates below.
